Kristin
Kristin Kay began singing professionally, in Chicago, from 4.5-11 years old. During that time she sang in 2 music groups, studied at the IVS School of Music for voice and piano in Oak Park, did jingles for TV/Radio, and sang back up vocals for Walt Disney. She then moved to Michigan and began playing guitar and songwriting when she was 12. She participated in several different choral groups throughout school and was active in musicals and plays at Sauk Community Theater for 15 years. She briefly studied Musical Theater Performance at Columbia College. She has released 4 independent albums of her own, with the last album, "Spirit Brought Me To Life" released in 2006. She has played at many different venues throughout the country, and Ireland too. Kristin Kay is a fan of all music that is inspiring in it's own unique way and has countless influences. She has previously been a member of 5 bands, and looks forward to joining Acoustalyn for her next chapter in music.
Among other things Kristin also enjoys perma culture, cooking, gardening, volunteering, traveling, art, baseball, camping across the U.S, and other outdoor activities & sports, spending time with her 3 cats, family, friends, and husband in the Army National Guard.
